Using DocNote from Axenita: request the connection and send reports to the patient file (video)

You can now use DocNote directly from your Axenita EHR. Open DocNote from the patient file, generate your report and send it straight into Axenita, with no copy-pasting and no change to your routine. The video (in French) shows how to request the connection, then the everyday workflow. Each step is described below.

Step 1: request the connection

The first time you sign in to DocNote, open Settings. In the section for your electronic health record, select Axenita and click Request connection. The DocNote and Axenita teams take care of the activation and confirm once it is live.

Step 2: use DocNote from the patient file

Once the connection is confirmed, keep working in Axenita as usual.

1. Open DocNote from Axenita. In the patient file, click “External call”, the icon to the right of the printer, then select DocNote. The app opens automatically.
2. Create the consultation. Start a new consultation: the patient’s last name, first name and date of birth are already filled in on the new report.
3. Record or dictate your consultation as you normally would, then generate the report.
4. Send it to the patient file. When the report is finished, send it directly to the patient’s file in Axenita. Reports created in the last seven days can be found and sent the same way.

Step 3: add the report to the consultation

Close DocNote and return to Axenita. In the patient file, click the double-arrow icon: the content sent from DocNote appears there. Select the matching consultation, click Replace, then confirm.

The report is now part of the patient’s record in Axenita.

Why this approach

The Axenita integration is built on the FHIR standard: the report travels as a structured document rather than pasted text, and the patient’s identity travels with it. For the doctor, the visible result is even simpler: one click to open DocNote, one click to send, nothing to retype.
